Personal Safety Australia is owned and directed by Kim Jackson. Kim has over 23 years policing experience, predominantly in crime prevention and training roles, both in Australia and overseas. Kim's experience includes developing the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Safer Living program, the primary safety program of the QPS providing practical and empowering personal safety advice for people of all ages. As part of this program Kim developed police training, community workshops and resource materials.

In 2008 Kim developed the Safe Start: Protective Behaviours for Children and the Safe T: Protective Behaviours for Young People programs to maximise the safety and enhance the wellbeing of children and young people and encourage them to reach their full potential.

In 2002 Kim was selected as an Australian Youth Ambassador and undertook a development assignment in Samoa, establishing a Crime Prevention Unit. Kim is a qualified Women's Self Defence Instructor and has been teaching self defence skills for over sixteen years. Until 2006 Kim served as the President of the Protective Behaviours Consultancy Group of Queensland Inc., a non-profit, community-based organisation promoting the Protective Behaviours program throughout Queensland.

Kim is an enthusiastic trainer and presenter and is passionate about maximising the safety and enhancing the wellbeing of all people.
