'Just for Girls' and 'Just for Guys' Workshops

Just for Girls Workshop

Purpose:

To equip, empower and inspire teen and tween girls and their parents/carers with knowledge, skills and key strategies to maximise their safety, enhance their wellbeing and encourage them to reach their full potential.

 

Duration:

1 – 2 hours (custom-made to meet client needs)

 

Target audience:

Teen and tween girls (aged 9 - 19 years) and their parents (preferably mother or female carer)

Participant numbers:

Up to 25 participants

 

Learning objectives:

Workshops are custom-made to meet client needs. Topics include:

  • Personal violence dynamics
  • Developing a healthy self esteem
  • Exploring our right to safety and preventative strategies for keeping safe
  • Body ownership principles and practices
  • Accessing help from Safety Networks
  • Tools for success
Learning methods:

Interactive presentation including role plays, brainstorming, demonstrations and discussion.  Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions throughout the workshop.

Just for Guys Workshop
